What is Ashtanga Yoga?

Ashtanga Yoga is the most widespread dynamic method of postural Yoga in the world.

Like all postural Yoga methods, it is based on Hatha Yoga postures that are intertwined in fixed sequences (also called series) highly structured, ordered and dynamic that aim to:
-First series: flexibilize, align and purify the body
-Second series: activate and purify the energy system.
-Third series: develop strength and concentration.

All these objectives are developed in each of the series although in each one it has the focus on one of these specific aspects.

His physical intensity is high, the postures are maintained for less time than in Hatha Yoga and the focus is more on transitions (vinyasas).

Other important points in the practice of Ashtanga Yoga are:
-the combination of breathing with movement
-the generation of internal heat by activating the energy system and the vinyasas (transitions between postures)
-the development of concentration by focusing on fixed points in each posture
-the development of body memory by repeating the sequences
-the meditative state that comes by repeating the sequences

What is the Inbound Yoga Method?

This is a holistic method of study, learning and teaching that takes into account the physical, social, cultural, energetic, mental, emotional and spiritual reality of students and teachers.

It is applicable to the study and teaching of every style of Yoga (Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, etc.) and is based in:

1 – The subtle, internal and self-knowledgeable practices of Yoga (Raja Yoga, Bhakti Yoga)
2 – The new discoveries in Biomechanics (the structural functioning of the body)
3 – Neuroplasticity (how the brain works and its processes of change and learning)
4 – Neurolinguistics (how the use of language influences mental and learning processes)
5 – Psychoneurobiology (how the body affects the mind, emotions, spirit, and vice versa)

Training following the Yoga Inbound Method will allow you to:

– Realize a deep process of self-knowledge and personal transformation
– Discover your gifts and develop your qualities as a teacher
– Be able to accompany your student in their personal transformation process
– Learn to see the needs of each group or student and adapt your teaching to time, place and circumstances
– Offer dynamic and attractive classes using effective, precise and close language
– Develop directed classes where through the use of language, the combination of postures, rhythm and cadence a physical, mental, emotional, energetic or spiritual intention is worked
– Offer greater depth in your classes where students feel that they have worked both the physical aspects and the internal, subtle and spiritual aspects of Yoga
– Develop the appropriate internal attitude for the practice and teaching of Yoga

Training goals
-that you deepen the practice of the first series of Ashtanga Yoga

-that you memorize all postures and their transitions (vinyasas)

-that you integrate the sense of the sequence, of its transitions and of the teaching methodology of Ashtanga Yoga

-that you develop the ability to adapt the postures to different bodies

-that you learn to read the bodies and develop appropriate adjustments and corrections to each type of body

-that you develop a clear, concise and effective teaching methodology that suits the needs of the students

-that you understand the principles of Yoga (Philosophical, Energetic and Spiritual) and integrate them into your day to day

-that you generate a solid theoretical-practical base that will serve as a guide and reference to develop your practice, acquire new knowledge and expand your teaching so that what you learn in this training becomes a seed that grows and expands in the days, months and years to come.

Can I take this training even if I don't want to be a teacher?

Yes, some people take our training in Ashtanga Yoga to:
-deepen your practice of Ashtanga Yoga
-develop your own self-practice
-incorporate life habits related to Ashtanga Yoga
-go deeper in the postures and their modifications
-Receive many adjustments and deepen the understanding of these
-deepen the meaning and understanding of the sequences
-know the particular physical, energetic, psychological and spiritual aspects of Ashtanga Yoga that are not explained in regular classes

All this but without the intention of being a teacher.

If this is your case you will not have to carry out the evaluations or complementary works that enable you as a teacher and you will receive a certificate of participation as an in-depth course but not as a teacher.

Entry Requirements

As Ashtanga Yoga training is highly demanding both physically and intellectually to access this training it is recommended:

-have a regular practice of the First series of Ashtanga Yoga until at least Navasana + Final postures
-in case of not having this practice it is necessary to have a first training in another methodology (Hatha or Vinyasa preferably) and a regular practice of Yoga
-being in good physical, emotional and mental health
